Bengaluru: A total of 6,40,033 students are appearing for the II PU Examination in the state, which started on Friday, March 11.
Out of the said total, 3,29,187 are boys and 3,10,846 are girls.
Another total of 31,252 are appearing as private students. It is said that 2,536 students have been barred from writing the exams due to shortage of attendance.
The examinations are held in 1032 centers, out of which 155 centers have been marked as sensitive and 51 centers have been marked as hyper sensitive. Examinations will be held between March 11 and March 28.
However, keeping the demand of abolition of discrimination in salary structure and the implementation of Kumar Nayak report, the Principals and lecturers of several colleges have decided to stage silent protest while examination duties by wearing black bands.
