Hassan :  A  team of officials led by Tahsildar Manjunath  in a raid on November 15, Friday morning have seized 53 sand  lorries  without permits. If 43 lorries were seized in Hassan division, 10 lorries were seized in Aloor, Sakleshpur and Channarayapattana. The raid followed a tip off.

Speaking to reporters later on, Tahsildar Manjunath said  if at all any of the seized lorry is found to have  permit, then it would be released. At the same time the lorry owners were seen appealing to the officials.
