Bengaluru: As many as 50 students of the ‘Asmitha’ women’s hostel of the Kannada University, Hampi fell ill after dinner on Monday night.

According to the Hampi police, who are investigating the incident, these students complained of stomach ache and uneasiness after dinner at the hostel on Monday.

Immediately, those who complained of stomach ache and other complications were rushed to the Hosapet and Kamalapura hospitals. All are out of danger.

Senior police and health department rushed to both the hospitals.

The state higher education department has ordered an investigation.
