Bengaluru: The state government has issued a notification re-transfering 16 IAS officers, who were moved out of their departments as per the direction of the Election Commission (EC) at the time of the election.

The list of IAS officers who have been re-transferred includes N Manjushri (Mandya DC), Tushar Girinath (BWSSB chairman), P C Jaffer (commissioner, DPI) and D Randeep (special commissioner, BBMP) among others.

These officers were moved out of their respective departments in March, by the EC.

Mandya DC N Manjushri was moved out of the Mandya district following complaints by independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh that she was partial towards JDS-Congress alliance candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy. She was replaced by P C Jaffer. Manjushri is expected to take charge as the DC on Saturday, June 1.
