10th standard student stabbed to death

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old student was stabbed to death by his classmates over petty issue during the anniversary programme of their school in Yelahanka police limits.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 1.30 pm during the annual day function of Government High School and PU College. The police have identified the deceased as Harsha, a 10th standard student. The police said a scuffle broke out between Harsha and Akash over a minor issue. It was said that Akash, in a fit of rage, stabbed Harsha with a knife and left him bleeding.

According to the police sources, it was the passersby who saw Harsha in a pool of blood, rushed him to the nearby Government Hospital. The doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, Dr P S Harsha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru North East Division, said that two suspects have been secured in connection with Yelahanka student murder case. “Their identities cannot be revealed as prima facie they are juveniles. They will be dealt with as per Juvenile Justice Act,’’ Dr Hasrha said.

The Yelahanka police have registered a case and are investigating further.
