Bagalkot: MLA B B Chimmanakatti said that Asian Development Bank (ADB) has granted Rs 25 crore to undertake infrastructural developments at the historical Badami fort, which would be utilized fully in this regard, said MLA Chimmanakatti.
MLA Chimmanakatti was speaking after flagging-off a mega rally that was held on the occasion of World Tourism Day in association with district administration, tourism and information and broadcasting department, different education institutions, at the historical Badami museum premises here on Friday September 27.
The overseas tourists are intrigued by memorials of Badami dynasty. The infrastructural developments will be undertaken with the grant of ADB in collaboration with the district administration, said MLA Chimmanakatti.
The Deputy Commissioner Manoj Jain said that the youth community had to take interest in improving the infrastructures in the historical, Badami, Ihole and Pattadakal. The awareness among the youth is essential to develop the locations as tourists’ hot spots. The cleanliness and hygiene should be essentially maintained. The youth got to collaborate in this regard, said DC Manoj.
The district information officer Manjunat Sullolli delivered the introductory address.
Badami municipal councilor Gouramma Bevoora, ZP CEO S G Patil, Veera Pulikeshi education institution chairman A C Pattana, government officers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
