Gadag: Pointing out that he is the only Chief Minister of the state, after Devaraj Urs to complete a five-year term in power, former CM Siddaramaiah said that many are jealous of his accomplishment.

Unveiling the statue of warrior Sangoli Rayanna in the Koujageri village of Gadag, Siddaramaiah said that during his tenure, a lot of contribution towards the state and people were done, which is causing jealousy among his opponents.

Siddaramaiah informed the gathering that AICC President Rahul Gandhi has decided to waive off the farmers’ loan if the Congress party comes to power.

Meantime, he also said that a military school in the name of Sangoli Rayanna and a tourist spot will be opened shortly.

The purpose of projects in the name of Sangoli Rayanna was to have his name remain permanently in the minds of youth and others, he said adding that Rayanna is a real hero and a great source of inspiration.
