Bagalkot: Commenting on the political instability in the state, Founder of Sri Ram Sena, Pramod Muthalik demanded President’s Rule here on Monday, July 22.
Speaking to media he said, “The Central government must intervene and impose President’s Rule in the state as the situation has gone out of control. There shall now be a full stop on dirty politics that is going on.”
Criticising the MLAs of both the opposition as well as the ruling, Muthalik said, “Several districts are worst-hit by drought. People are dying for even a drop of water and in such a situation, all the MLAs across the party lines are busy in ‘Resort Politics.’ They should be ashamed of themselves.”
Further lambasting them, he said, “Crores of rupees are being spent on ‘Resort Politics’, none of which is their fathers’ but the hard earned money paid as taxes by the commoners. Such people are unfit to serve the people.”
“Amid this, the ruling party Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition says Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala has no right to interfere in this political crisis. On the other hand, the opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party says he has full rights. Both of them are trying to misuse the law for their political gains”, he added.
Muthalik said that as there was nothing much for Governor Vajubhai Vala to do, it was high time the Centre intervened.
