Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh no more

Dubai : Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh  passed away due to a heart attack   late Friday night, December 28 in Dubai. He was 65 years old.

A family person told the media, that “Farooq has passed away”, but did not   disclose any other details.

Reportedly the actor was in Dubai as he had plans to visit a concert. His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Mumbai later in the day after completing formalities in Dubai.

Farooq Sheikh started his career in Bollywood in 1973 with ‘Gharam Hava’ and is best remembered for his performances in films like ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’, ‘Chashme Buddoor’, ‘Kissi Se Na Kehna’, ‘Noorie’. He was also popular with his Zee TV show “Jeena issi ka naam hai” in which he interviewed many Bollywood celebrities.
