Greater Noida : Due to heavy fog and poor visibility, a 12-vehicle pile-up occurred early on Wednesday morning on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, injuring several people, according to authorities.
The incident happened close to the Jewar police station’s Dayanatpur Village. When Noida police arrived on the scene, they started looking into the accident.
After being removed from the wrecked cars, each injured person was given medical attention and admitted to a nearby hospital.
Official reports state that the dense fog caused a pick-up van to collide with a canter, which in turn caused numerous vehicles approaching from behind to collide one after the other.
Teams responding to relief and rescue operations arrived at the scene following word of the collision.
