Security tightened on 21st anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition

Lucknow: On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition, highly structured security arrangements have been made in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country to retain peace, on Friday December 6.

The security measures are mainly been placed in Ayodhya and surrounding cities, places are barricaded and entries are sealed to make sure that peace is maintained.

The Muslim organizations have decided to observe “black day” while Hindu associations are celebrating as a “day of victory”.

Around 10,000 personnel from state police, Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) have been deployed to maintain law and order, as per reports.

The security allotments are given to PAC jawans to prevent any problematic incident whereas the city police have been vigilant over vehicles and lodges to avert movement of antisocial elements in Ayodhya. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the GRP have also been alerted likewise.

Intensive surveillance has been put in place at crowded places like bus stands railway stations, places of worship and government offices. The police have formed open line patrol teams to secure railway tracks and bridges.
