Panaji: Police sources claimed that a Russian woman has been allegedly raped by the owner of a guest-house where she was staying.

According to inspector Sanjay Dalvi, the incident happened on Friday morning when the girl was sleeping in her room and also that a medical examination confirmed it.

The accused has been identified as James D’Souza, owner of Morjim Club guest house.

Pernem police said that D’Souza is gone missing after the complaint was filed.

The 25-year-old victim was supposed to leave India in the first week of May.
