Gujarat: The couple from Gujarat who made headlines after eloping merely days ahead of their children’s marriage, has surrendered before the police.

It may be recalled that the man, who is the groom’s father, and the lady, who is the bride’s mother, eloped with each other, leaving their families embarrassed. The wedding of their children that was scheduled to be held in February too was called off.

However, after remaining elusive for a few days, the couple surrendered before the police.

It is said that the couple had been friends since childhood and had been in love with each when they were young, but they could not get married to each other due to societal pressure. However, it is said that when talks of a wedding between their children started, romance rekindled between the two.

The two went missing on January 10 and the news made national headlines as there was suspicion that they might have eloped with each other. With the two returning, the lady’s husband has already made it clear that he will not accept her.
