Lucknow: After the BJP and its allies scored a thumping victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, people all over the country celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term in office in several different ways. While many burst fireworks and filled the streets with music, a Muslim couple in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district celebrated PM Modi’s win by naming their newborn son ‘Narendra Modi’.
The newborn’s mother, Menaj Begum told ANI that she wanted her son, who was born on May 23, to follow PM Modi’s ideal. She also said that when she called her husband, who is in Dubai, he asked her if Modi won, prompting her to name her son Narendra Modi. “I want my son to do good work like Modiji and be just as successful,” she told the news agency.
Praising PM Modi for his good governance, she hoped that the government will implement more schemes that will benefit her in the long run.
It can be recalled that the BJP-led NDA secured a massive victory over the Congress-led UPA and others in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the results of which were announced on May 23. The NDA won 353 seats, the UPA 92 and others won 97 seats.
