Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association honored Sachin Tendulkar by re-naming it’s newly built suburban at Kandivali west Mahavir Nagar Mumbai on 11 November.

The club is named as “Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana”, rendering a tribute to the veteran cricketer.

The was idea initiated by Sharad Pawar, the newly elected president of the association, to rename the building after Sachin Tendulkar as he wanted to felicitate him for his success in the field.

It was recently told by Sharad Pawar that, “Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana”, one of the best clubs developed by the MCA, even better than the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

Union Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Mumbai Mayor Sunil Prabhu and Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar were present on the occasion.
