A devastating accident claimed the lives of two labourers as a crane bucket, in which they were being lowered into an under-construction well, detached due to a cable snapping. The tragic incident occurred in Bhor taluka, Pune district, at a construction site managed by the gram panchayat of Kolwadi village, situated approximately 60 kilometres from Pune City.

The deceased have been identified as Ankush Prabhakar Gedam (24), hailing from Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, and Vijendra Ramanand Bharadwaj (49), a native of Uttar Pradesh.
