On Saturday afternoon, a teenager was discovered dead on the railroad tracks between Thakurli and Kalyan railway station. Mennuinddin Shah (19), the deceased, was identified as a Bhiwandi resident. It is unclear to the Dombivali government railway police (GRP) if Shah fell off the train or was struck by a train. At first, the incident happened on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
When the tragedy occurred, Shah had left his home in Bhiwandi to get plumbing supplies from Thane. A single passenger was also hurt at Borivali after being struck by a train. On May 2, three people were struck by trains at various points along the central railway, and one person lost their life after falling off the train between Titwala and Vashind.
On May 3, a person was struck by a train at Thakurli, another person was discovered dead on the track between Sewri and Wadala, and two people perished after falling from trains at the stations in Diva and Mumbai.
