New Delhi: At the backdrop of Boston bomb blast that took place a few yards from finishing line of marathon, Indian intelligence department alerted the union government that such blasts may take place during IPL matches.
The intelligence department alerted the union government to beef up security during the IPL matches as the likelihood of Indian Mujahideen attacks are looming over. IPL matches in Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi face the threat of terror attack, stated intelligence sources.
Three persons died and hundreds of people were injured in the bomb blast that took a few minutes before the concluding of marathon in Boston, USA on Monday April 15. It was the terror attack after 2011, while the authorities issued high alerts to New York and Los Angeles.
The metropolitan police encountered a suspect related to Boston bomb blast, stated American federal authorities.
