Ahmadabad: Polling across the 25 constituencies in Gujarat has garnered a turnout of 24.35%. The voting commenced at 7 a.m., with an average voter participation of 9.87% recorded by 9 a.m. Notably, Banaskantha constituency leads with the highest turnout percentage at 30.27%, while Porbandar records the lowest at 19.83%. Gandhinagar, the constituency where PM Modi cast his vote this morning, registers a turnout of 25.67%.
Union Minister Parshottam Rupala exercised his franchise at a polling station in his native village Ishwariya in Gujarat’s Amreli. He is also contesting the Lok Sabha elections from the Rajkot Constituency. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Rivaba Jadeja cast her vote in Jamnagar.
In another precinct, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by BCCI secretary Jay Shah and their family, participated in the voting process at Kameshwar Mahadev Temple in Naranpura, Ahmedabad.
