New Delhi : Tragedy struck Delhi‘s INA metro station on Saturday evening when a 30-year-old man, identified as Ajitesh Singh by the police, took his own life by leaping in front of a moving train. The incident occurred around 7 pm as Singh jumped onto the tracks in front of a train bound for Samaipur Badli from platform number two, as confirmed by surveillance footage.
Singh was identified by the authorities through a call made to his mobile phone. Prompt response from the authorities led to the swift removal of the deceased’s body to a mortuary for further investigation and autopsy. The police have initiated a thorough inquiry into the incident.
