New Delhi: Two individuals have been taken into custody, alongside two juveniles, following their alleged involvement in the fatal beating of a man in north Delhi’s Burari region, as per police reports on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Priyanshu, sustained severe injuries and was admitted to LNJP Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Thursday, according to authorities.
According to a police spokesperson, a murder case was filed based on the account provided by Priyanshu’s friend, Jaikishan, also known as Chintu.
Subsequent investigations revealed that Priyanshu was assaulted by a group of five or six individuals who arrived on two motorcycles around 11:30 am on February 11, the spokesperson added.
Jaikishan further informed the police that among the assailants were Rohit Gaur, 22, and Ashish, also known as Anshu, who were allegedly embroiled in a dispute with Priyanshu over Rs 2,300.
Law enforcement authorities have confirmed the arrest of both suspects, as well as the apprehension of the two juveniles believed to have participated in the attack.
