New Delhi: Just hours after tendering his resignation, Gourav Vallabh, the former national spokesperson of the Congress party, made a swift transition to the BJP.
Vallabh grabbed headlines earlier in the day by posting his resignation letter on social media platform X. He, along with Anil Sharma, the former Bihar Congress president, joined the BJP in presence of Vinod Tawade, the national general secretary of the party, in Delhi.
In his resignation letter addressed to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Vallabh criticized the grand-old party, labeling it as ‘directionless.’ He cited reasons such as the caste census and claimed he can’t raise ‘anti-Sanatan’ slogans were reasons to step down from post.
“I do not feel comfortable with the directionless way in which the Congress party is moving forward today. I can neither raise anti-Sanatana slogans nor abuse the wealth creators of the country. I am resigning from all posts and primary membership of the Congress party,” wrote Gourav Vallabh.
