The Delhi Police have debunked threatening emails circulating in Delhi schools and cautioned the public against bomb-related rumors on social media. Authorities expressed gratitude to parents for their cooperation and emphasized the importance of disregarding and refraining from forwarding such false information.
Warning against the spread of rumors, the police highlighted the dissemination of audio messages falsely claiming the discovery of bombs in several schools. They advised against believing or sharing such messages and even shared a fake audio clip circulating on social media alleging the discovery and defusal of a bomb at DPS Dwarka, which was found to be untrue.
Additionally, claims of bombs being found in Ambience Public School, Safdarjung Enclave, and DPS Mathura were refuted by the Delhi Police.
Emphasizing the importance of verifying the authenticity and source of information, IPS Suman Nalwa urged the public to exercise caution regarding fake news concerning suspicious objects purportedly found in schools, particularly those circulated via WhatsApp messages.
