Raichur: The scorching sun has turned Lingasugur town in Raichur District, into a sizzling frying pan. For the past fifteen days, residents have sweltered under an unrelenting heatwave, with temperatures consistently exceeding a scorching 43 degrees Celsius.
To capture the public’s imagination and convey the intensity of their ordeal, a group of youths from Lingasugur’s Swami Vivekanand layout successfully cooked an omelet on a pan – without using any fire whatsoever!
Prabhu Gasti, one of the participants, said, “We simply left a pan outside in the relentless sun for over an hour and a half. It became so hot that when we cracked an egg onto the surface, it cooked to cooked perfectly and he claimed that they eat it without any hesitancy.
Raichur district is experiencing severe heatwave condition, according to the locals, the mercury level breached 50 years record and they claim that on Wednesday, Raichur city witnessed 45 degree Celsius temperature.
