Denmark’s Ambassador to India, Freddy Svane, praised the New Delhi Municipal Council and its employees for tidying up a litter-filled service road next to the Danish Embassy in Chanakyapui, Delhi. In a new video, the envoy expressed his gratitude to the civic body’s employees and expressed that he was “happy to see real action.”
Mr. Svane expressed his appreciation for the diligent workers and personnel of NDMC for their efforts in clearing an area that was piled high with rubbish the day before. He expressed his gratitude directly to the civil works and health departments, among others, and emphasized the crucial role the Lieutenant Governor had played in starting the initiative.
“This is a huge transformation, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone at the NDMC who made this possible. Their commitment to enhancing the environment is genuinely admirable, the ambassador remarked. In addition, he emphasized the need of teamwork while also recognizing the unique roles that each person performs in enhancing their community and the persons there.
In a video that Mr. Svane uploaded on Wednesday, he can be seen standing in the center of the lane and pointing to the rubbish and trash from building projects that are strewn all over the place on both sides of the street.
“Welcome to great, green and trashy New Delhi,” he announced. “We have the Greek embassy over there, and we have the Danish embassy here,” the diplomat said, gesturing to the buildings housing their respective embassies. In between, this is meant to be the service lane, but over here, people are just dumping and doing whatever they want.”
The New Delhi Municipal Council cleared the area when the ambassador voiced concerns. Later, the envoy expressed gratitude to the “heroes” of the NDMC. “A few hours ago, I released a video to demonstrate how chaotic this service lane can get.
However, it requires human action, and the NDMC heroes heard the plea to refrain from littering such a lovely alley. They did something about it. Hey, Dhanyawad! This is not about whining, but rather identifying a problem. The fact that NDMC acted in just a few minutes makes me incredibly proud.I’ve spent eleven years living here. We adore India “Said him.
