New Delhi: A teenager was apprehended after allegedly sending an email to the Delhi Police headquarters, claiming a bomb had been planted in Nangloi, outer Delhi, according to authorities on Friday.
Following a comprehensive search in the area, the sender, identified as a teenage boy, was apprehended. Prior to being returned to his parents, he received counseling from law enforcement.
Situated approximately 18 kilometers from Nangloi, the Delhi Police Headquarters on Jai Singh Road, central Delhi, addressed the incident in a statement. “The sender deemed a juvenile, and in accordance with the JJ Act, remains unidentified for his protection,” the statement affirmed.”The email was determined to be a prank. Following appropriate counseling, the juvenile was released to his parents.”
