DD cameraman dies in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh: In a shocking incident, a cameraman attached to national broadcaster Doordarshan (DD) died after a Maoist attack in poll-bound Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

As per reports, the attack took place in Aranpur of Dantewada.

The 90 seats of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will vote in two phases – November 12 and November 20. The Maoist-affected districts of southern Chhattisgarh will vote in the first phase of polling.

It may be recalled that four soldiers of the Central Reserve Police force were killed in a landmine blast executed by the Maoist at Bijapur in Chhattisgarh three days ago.

Two other CRPF jawans were injured in the improvised explosive device or IED blast.
