New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government handed over four flats to the kin of Dardri lynching victim.

Almost five months ago, in September 2015, a man from Bisada, Dadri was lynched by a strong mob, on allegations that he had consumed and stored beef.
After the incident, the UP government promised compensation and flats for the kin of the victim.
Following this, four flats flats by Greater Noida Authority in Zeta One sector were registered in the names of victim Mohommed Akhlaq’s wife Ikraman and his three brothers – Jaan Mohammed, Afzal Ahmad and Zameel Ahmad.
The family paid Rs 9.5 lakh each for the four flats from the amount which they got from the chief minister’s discretionary fund. The actual cost of flats is Rs 20-24 lakhs.
The family had fled Dadri after the incident.
