Jammu: Unprovoked fire and shelling started by Pakistani troops in Chakan-da-bagh area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
This incident took place exactly three days after their firing in Nowgam sector, army source said. Chakan-da-bagh is located about 240km of Jammu. This was the second ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops.
On May 24th shelling happened in Nowgam sector in Kupwara district in North Kashmir, in which a brigadier was injured. An army source said the firing took place in Chakan-da-bagh area at around 7 a.m. No loss of life or injury to any Indian soldier is been reported.
However, in this case Indian troops did not retaliate, the sources said.
