Mumbai: A 42-year-old man with hoard of over 1,000 bottles of banned Corex cough syrup was arrested by the police in Byculla on Saturday, after the accused walked into the trap laid by the police.
The arrested is Lokesh Devchand Jain, a resident of Prabhadevi.
Jain revealed that he used to purchase the drug from a dealer named Bharat and he used to dispatch the drug at various places in Mumbai- largely in Nallasopara and Colaba areas and his clients were mainly petty criminals and offenders.
A history-sheeter Jain was in the past too arrested by the cops for the same offence. He was produced before the Court and has been remanded to judicial custody.
