Jaipur: In an incident that displayed inhumanity, a boy and girl were tied to a tree after the girl’s relatives spotted them together in Banswara district of Rajasthan, police said on Saturday. Media reports suggest that the girl is married and she ran away with the boy.

The incident occurred in Umbada village under Loharia police station area.

It has been reported that the boy, who is 20 years old, and the girl were seen by the latters relatives moving around together, after which they took the duo to the village and allegedly tied them to a tree for nearly two hours, police said.

Thereafter, the boy’s family was informed and they reached the spot and freed the duo, they said.

The boy on Saturday lodged a case against five persons under relevant sections, the police said, adding that no one has been arrested in this connection so far.
