Kannur: The recent spate of political rivalry induced attacks in neighboring Kerala continues with an assault on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kannur Mandal vice-president Sushil by bike-borne assailants last night.

The incident took place at Olachery Kavu, Kerala.

Sushil is admitted to Kozhikode medical college and his condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile, the BJP has put the onus of the attack on the CPI (M) who have denied the same saying that it was a result of an internal feud within the BJP.

The police is probing the matter.
