At Assam’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rode an elephant and went on a jeep safari, an official stated.
In the Mihimukh section of the Central Kohora Range of the park, PM Modi experienced an elephant safari before moving on to a jeep safari inside the same range during his first visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along with him were senior forest officials and Sonali Ghosh, the director of the park.

On a two-day visit to the state, the prime minister had arrived at Kaziranga on Friday night.
In the afternoon, he is also expected to dedicate the 125-foot-tall “Statue of Valour” honoring the late Ahom general Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat.
The Prime Minister will next travel to Meleng Meteli Pothar, which is located in the Jorhat district, to officially launch and lay the foundation stones for state and federal projects valued at over ₹18,000 crore.
He is also scheduled to address a public meeting at the same venue.
