In a recent mishap in Andhra Pradesh‘s Vizianagaram district, a passenger train bound for Rayagada in Odisha from Visakhapatnam derailed, resulting in at least ten people being injured.
Collision Leads to Derailment
The incident occurred due to a rear-end collision between the Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger train and the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada passenger train. As a result of the collision, three coaches were involved in the accident, causing injuries to ten individuals.

Rescue operations are currently underway, with local authorities and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) being informed to provide assistance and ambulances. Additionally, accident relief trains have reached the site to address the situation.

He directed the dispatch of as many ambulances as possible from Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli, which are the nearest districts to Vizianagaram.
