Mumbai : A major fire that broke out at the 26 storey Mont Blanc Building  in the upmarket Kemps Corner Area of Mumbai on December 13, Friday night has so far clamed seven lives.

The fire was first noticed on the 12th floor of the building. Fire fighters had to struggle for over five hours to douse the fire even as several families were trapped inside.

Fire Brigade source said several  people have been rescued. It is learnt renovation works were underway in  the 12th floor where the fire first broke out. Even a cylinder blast made matters further worse.
