Mumbai: More than 28 people are feared trapped under the debris of a five-storey BMC staff quarter building that collapsed near the Babugenu Market on Dockyard Road in Mumbai this morning. The incident happened at 6:25 this morning.
Four ambulances and 12 fire engines were rushed to the spot, and are currently involved in the rescue operations.
Four people have been rescued from the debris so far, and have been admitted to the government-run JJ hospital.
A local Shiv Sena worker said there was a godown in the ground floor of the residential BMC quarters and some repair work was in progress.
