Ludhiana: In a bizarre incident, a vegetable seller in Punjab’s Ludhiana, allegedly raped a three-year-old girl and slit her throat.

The vegetable seller persuaded the girl to come and play with him, later raped and slit her throat, alleged the father of the child.

The child is said to be in critical condition.

Dr. Sanjiv Gupta, who treated the girl, said that the girl was bought with a gash on the throat.

“It’s a case of rape and attempted murder,” he said.
