Mangaluru: The food festival titled ‘Banjara – 2022′ was organised by the Department of Tourism and BBA (Tourism and Travel) of University College in the City on Tuesday July 19. Along with the diversity of food, the creativity of the students was evident here.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Bantwal Bunts’ Association President Chandrahasa D. Shetty said, “There is no other place where Tulunadu has such a variety of delicacies. Everything is a balanced diet that is not harmful to health. It is our duty to preserve and nurture this knowledge which has come from the elders,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mangalore University Syndicate Member Ramesh K. who was the Chief Guest, opined that such programmes will inspire those interested in joining the newly launched BBA programme.
In her presidential address, Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai said, “The food diversity here also plays an important role in Coastal tourism. The coastal people have adopted a healthy diet, she said.
