Chitradurga, Hiriyur: Teachers’ Day was celebrated in a grand manner at Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga.
At 7:30 am children welcomed Teachers and Managers with the school band. Student Anisha led the program. Students gave 20 meaningful programs for Teachers. They showed their gratitude through their heart-touching performances.
Manager and Correspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza together with HMs Henry Crasta, Sr. Martha, Sr. Veronica and Rev. Fr Alphonse Nelson D’Souza garlanded the photo of Sri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
Students had conducted games for the teachers in the previous week. Prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza.
Every teacher received a gift from the management.
Manager and Correspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza wished the teachers in his speech. He appreciated their dedication in forming the students of the school. He said that Teachers’ Day is as important as the birthday of parents at home. At home, as parents take care, in the school teachers take care of the students. We should be always grateful for their sacrificial service to each one of us. He blessed the students as well as the teachers end of his speech.
Teacher Tanuja thanked the students on behalf of all the teachers.
