Yenepoya Dental College conducts CDE programme

Mangaluru: The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Yenepoya Dental College, conducted a CDE programme on ‘Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice and Role of Amoxicillin-clavulanic Acid in Odontogenic Infections’ at 9.30 AM on March 30, at the Indoor auditorium.

The CDE was attended by around 260 participants including faculty members, post graduates and interns from various dental colleges in and around Mangaluru.

Former Director of PG Studies at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Dr. B Rajendra Prasad was the chief guest of the event.

Dr Rajendra Prasad addressed the gathering, after which Dr C.V Raghuveer delivered the presidential address.

Momentos of appreciation were presented to the chief guest and the guest speaker.

The scientific session included talks on ‘Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice’ by Dr. Sahith Shetty, Associate Professor JSS Dental College, Mysore and ‘Role of Amoxicillin-clavulanic acid in odontogenic infections’ by Dr. Jagadish Chandra, Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Yenepoya Dental College.

The programme concluded at 1.30 PM after which lunch was served. Participation certificates were then presented to all the delegates.

Earlier, the dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Dean- Faculty of Dentistry and HOD Oral Surgery, Dr. B H Sripathi Rao welcomed the gathering and gave an overview of the programme. Dr. Vinayakrishna delivered a vote of thanks.

Dr. C V Raghuveer Pro-Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, Dean- Faculty of Dentistry & HOD Oral Surgery Vice Principal Dr. Sham S Bhat, Secretary IAE & HOD Orthodontics Dr. Akhter Hussain, Guest speaker Dr. Sahith Shetty, Organizing Chairman Dr. Joyce Sequeira and Organizing Secretary Dr. Jagadish Chandra were present on the dais.
