Mangaluru: Vidya Vinutha D’Souza, assistant professor, post-graduate department of Social Work, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), was awarded a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Mysore.

She was awarded PhD for her thesis on ‘Employment Concerns and Prospects among Deepsea Fishers in Coastal Karnataka- A Social Work perspective’ under the guidance of Dr Mohan A K.
