The Men’s Football team of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, won VTU Mangaluru Zone Football Tournament held at NMAMIT, Nitte on 21st and 22nd March 2019, thereby getting selected for VTU Inter Zonal Football Tournament at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur on 24th & 25th March 2019.

On the way to this feat, SJEC won their first round against Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal, Quarter Finals against Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Konaje, Semi Finals against Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri and Finals against Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil.
