Mangaluru: Sharun Mendonca, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, has been honored with the Young Engineer Award by the Institution of Engineers (India) – Mangaluru Local Centre, for his contribution to the field of Mechanical Engineering on the eve of Engineers’ Day on September 15, 2016.

The event commemorates the occasion of 156th Birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvarya. Sharun was felicitated by Er Dr G.K. Prabhu, Director of Manipal Institute of Technology – Manipal, Er Dr A.O. Surendranathan, Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (I), Mangaluru Local Centre, Er Dr Annapa, Hon. Secretary of IEI, Er. B.T Kanthraj, President of KDKUEA, and Er. M Divakar Shetty, Secretary of KDKUEA.
