Mangaluru: The Sixth foundation day lecture of St Joseph Engineering College – Vamanjoor, Mangaluru will be held on February 11 at 9:30 am in the Spoorthi Conference Hall of Academic Block – III.Prof. K. J. Rao, Emeritus Professor, Ramanna Fellow (Senior), Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit at the Indian Institute of Science – Bangalore will deliver the lecture on the topic – Advances in Science and Technology, A New Civilizational Challenge.

The lecture will focus on the amazing progress made in science and technology especially, in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things, drone technology, and quantum computing. Discussions will be held on the effect of these disruptive technologies on conventional economy and job creation, considered as challenges faced by modern day scientists during the event.
