Mumbai: Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti is organizing 87th birth anniversary of the driving force behind the Konkan Railway project,  former defence minister hailing from Dakshina Kannada-George Fernandes on July 2 at Millenium Club,  Juhu, Andheri West, Mumbai.

The programme would be presided over by Padmabhushan Dr. B M Hegde.

Former MP and MDMK Secretary Vaiko will inaugurate the function and speak about George Fernandes. MP Gajanana Kirtikar, MP Gopal Shetty, MLA Amit Satam, Tamil Selvan, L & T MD and CEO K. Venkataramanan, Mohan Rawle, Suresh Sawant, Corporator Dilip Patel, Aditeja and other dignitaries will be present as Chief guests on this occasion.

The annual George Fernandes award will be presented by the dignitaries to the well known personality in the banking sector, former chairman of Abhyudaya Co. Operative Bank John D’silva.
