Mangaluru: The Inauguration of Student Council and the certification of UGC career-oriented courses such as Aviation and Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism of Milagres College, Hamapanakatta Mangaluru was held on Saturday, March 20.

The chief guest  S. L. Bhojegowda, Member of Legislative Council, South West Teachers Constituency, addressed the gathering with his encouraging words filled with enlightenment regarding the importance of Education and the Role of Educational Institutes and Faculty in the progress of our Country.

The principal administered the Oath to the office bearers of the Students council.

Ms. Cleeta D’Souza, General Secretary, FIMCAP Asia, and JCI Mangalore Inspire was the Guest of Honour. Rev.Fr Michael L Santhumayor, Principal, in his presidential message spoke about the college Motto- Passion for Perfection and congratulated all the members of the Students’ council.

Certificates were awarded to the students of various UGC certificate courses. Prof. Lourdusamy, Academic advisor, Mr. AkshithSuvarna, All India JDS Youth President, Mrs. Sonia D’Mello, Principal, CBSE section, Mr. Cassin Rodrigues, Vice-principal, Mr. Nithin Student President, and Ms. Shravya Student Vice President, were present. 

Ms. Eva Manorama, HOD of Commerce, welcomed the dignitaries, Mr. Cassin Rodrigues, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Ms. Florida Almeda.
