Udupi: World Environment Day was celebrated by Gurukula Educational Institutions here on June 5.

World Enviornment Day was held by the Gurukula Institutions Vakwady under the aegis of Bandya Education Trust directors Subhaschandra Shetty and Anupama S Shetty.

In order to create awareness among students about preserving nature, students themselves planted saplings around school premises.

Gurukula School Principal Shaiju K R Nair and Vice Principal Sunanda Patil and teachers were present.
