Mangaluru: Dr. Hasan Sarfaraz, MDS Professor Dept. Of Prosthodontics Yenepoya Dental College, has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the faculty of dentistry Yenepoya University, for his research work titled ‘Minimizing and dissipation of stress at the implant abutment interface.’

This research leads to the development of a new implant abutment system for the replacement of missing teeth.

This research was done under the guidance of Dr. K. Kamalakanth Shenoy, HOD Dept. of Prosthodontics, Yenepoya Dental College, Dr. Akhter Hussain, HOD Dept. of Orthodontics, Yenepoya Dental College, and Dr. Ramesh Chowdhary, Director, Branemark Osseo integration centre Bangalore.
