Moodabidri: Bhavishya, a Pre University student from Alva’s college will represent the State in the National Senior Weightlifting Championship at Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu.

Bhavishya had won silver medal in the recent junior level national championship in the Odisha capital, Bhavaneshwar.

Amreen Studying in Pre-University section of Jain College in Moodabidri will represent the state in the hammer throw competitions.

Amreen, trained by Harris had won two consecutive medals in the pre-university college level competitions held at Kalaburagi recently where she stood first on both occasions.

24 students from Alva’s Pre-University College have been selected for national level competitions based on their performance in the recent sports meet at Kalaburgi. In the competition Alva’s had won 31  medals in total including 14 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals.
