Mangaluru: Aloysian Fest 2023, the annual inter-collegiate mega talent fest of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore will be held on March 31 and April 1 on the College Premises. A distinguished alumnus of the College, Mr Aravind K.P., Indian Professional Motorsports Racer and Big Boss Kannada (Season 8) 1st Runner-up will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural to be held on March 31, and Mr Martin J. Aranha, Managing Director/CEO, Globelink West Star Shipping Company (LLC) will be the Guest of Honour. Rev. Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto S.J., Rector, St Aloysius group of institutions, will preside over the ceremony.

The valedictory ceremony will be held on April 1. Mr Dinesh Kumar B. P. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City, will be the chief guest and will award the championship trophies. Dr Suresh Poojary, Director of the College Research Cell will be the Guest of Honour. The principal, Rev. Fr Praveen Martis S. J. will preside over the programme.

The Aloysian Fest 2023 comprises six discipline-specific fests – ACME (Commerce), ART-BEAT (Arts), IMPRINTS (Science), COMPOSITE (Computer Applications), SPINOUT (Business Administration) and INITIA (Vocational Studies). In addition, ASTHITVA (Cultural fest) ALOYSIAD (Sports fest) and an EXHIBITION form part of this year’s Fest. About 76 teams consisting of 1,264 students from various colleges are expected to participate in 53 events at different venues over two days.
